Why do you not take insurance?

That's a great and very valid question.  Accepting insurance puts limitations on the type of care we can provide.  Insurance companies require us to stick to their regulations and puts limitations on the types of comprehensive testing we can order.  The tests that we order typically are not covered by insurance because they are more targeted than the traditional testing covered by insurance.  We work with labs who offer competitive cash rates to ensure our patients are getting the best value possible.

Functional Medicine falls under a broad title and not ever functional medicine practitioner has the same medical background and extensive training.  Our practice is physician led with a combined 9 years of experience and counting.  This enables us to interpret your panels and diagnostic results at a far deeper level to ensure nothing goes unaddressed.

Why do we take a different approach?

We also refuse to put our patients on cookie cutter programs because every person is unique and their body needs something completely unique to them.  Many practices complete testing and provide results, but then leave their patients to watching pre-recorded trainings about health, wellness, and diet changes over a course of several weeks.   To us, that's not true healthcare and that will not lead to lasting results.

At Optimal You, we provide extensive lab interpretation based off our years of experience and continual training in functional medicine.  Then, we provide you with 1 on 1 guidance, accountability, and a support system from our entire team.   Change can be "hard," and the truth is sometimes we have to adapt your program along the way, not weeks and weeks down the road.  Every person responds differently to their customized plan and we ensure we are present and available every step of the way.

Do you offer telehealth?

Absolutely!  The beauty about functional medicine is that we can order comprehensive diagnostic testing through our partnership labs anywhere through out the United States.  Many tests can be done from the comfort of your own home or we can find the closest location near you to visit.
