Do you offer virtual or telehealth appointments?

Absolutely! The beauty about functional medicine is that we can order comprehensive diagnostic testing through our partnership labs anywhere throughout the United States. Many tests can be done from the comfort of your own home or we can find the closest location near you to visit. While many of our clients visit our office in St. Augustine, FL, we see clients virtually across the United States too. You do not need to be local to Northeast Florida to benefit from our services.

What happens in a Strategy Session?

Once our physician-led team interprets your diagnostic testing results, we will review those steps during your Strategy Session. From there we will discuss next steps towards implementing your Personalized Health Blueprint.

Located in St. Augustine, Florida. We also serve the greater Jacksonville, FL area including Ponte Vedra, Nocatee, St. Johns, Orange Park, Fleming Island, Flagler Beach, Palatka, and Palm Coast, FL. Please note, we do see clients virtually across the United States, so if you are not local to Northeast Florida, we are still more than happy to meet with you online. Our office is located at 404 Paseo Reyes Drive, St. Augustine, FL 32095. Our office hours are Mon-Thu 9:00AM - 5:00PM (Closed 1:00-2:00 for lunch), Fri. 9:00 AM-2:00 PM. We do not accept traditional insurance, but we do accept the following payment options: Cash, Credit Card, HSA, FSA and Care Credit.

Clients visit us from throughout Northeast Florida, including Ponte Vedra, Nocatee, St. Johns, Orange Park, Palatka, Flagler Beach, Palm Coast, and surrounding communities. We also see virtual patients throughout the United States if you prefer to meet us via virtual or telehealth call.

Why do you not take insurance?

That's a great and very valid question. Accepting insurance puts limitations on the type of care we can provide. Insurance companies require us to stick to their regulations and puts limitations on the types of comprehensive testing we can order. The tests that we order typically are not covered by insurance because they are more targeted than the traditional testing covered by insurance. We work with labs who offer competitive cash rates to ensure our patients are getting the best value possible.

What is a Personalized Health Blueprint?

Your Personalized Health Blueprint is your individualized roadmap for moving forward with your health. After your history, examination, goals, and appropriate testing have been reviewed, our team will identify the priorities that matter most and create a clear plan based on your unique needs and health goals. Your Blueprint may include recommendations for nutrition, movement and exercise, sleep, stress and emotional wellbeing, lifestyle, environmental factors, targeted supplementation, neurological or chiropractic care, and other physician directed therapies when appropriate.

Why do we take a different approach?

We refuse to put our patients on cookie cutter programs because every person is unique and their body needs something completely unique to them. Many practices complete testing and provide results, but then leave their patients to watch pre-recorded trainings about health, wellness, and diet changes over a course of several weeks. To us, that's not true healthcare and that will not lead to lasting results. At Optimal You, we provide extensive lab interpretation based off our years of experience and continual training in functional medicine. Then, we provide you with 1 on 1 guidance, accountability, and a support system from our entire team. Change can be "hard," and the truth is sometimes we have to adapt your program along the way, not weeks and weeks down the road. Every person responds differently to their customized plan and we ensure we are present and available every step of the way.
